On November 11, 2022, SoCal CIO held their annual ORBIE Awards at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach. The ORBIE award recognizes Southern California CIOs who have shown excellence in technology leadership. Theresa Miller, CIO and Executive Vice President of Information Technology for Lionsgate received the Global ORBIE for organizations over $1 billion annual revenue & multi-national operations.
“Every organization is technology-dependent, but strong leadership is the X-factor that can turn mundane IT into a remarkable strategic differentiator,” said Joseph Cevetello, SoCalCIO Chair. “The ORBIE Awards are meaningful because they are judged by peers – CIOs who understand the challenges of technology leadership.”
Theresa oversees IT management for all of Lionsgate Entertainment, establishing and implementing initiatives and overseeing all IT projects and personnel. In her seventeen years with Lionsgate, Theresa made possible on site and cloud-based Enterprise Resource Planning systems, business intelligence systems, supply chain initiatives, and entertainment-based solutions for royalties, media rights and content management.
Theresa has a B.B.A. in management information systems from Texas A&M University and is a graduate of UCLA’s Executive Program in Management and is involved in several technology and entertainment related organizations. Theresa currently serves on the Customer Advisory Board for Amazon Web, SAP Services. She is on the Board and Treasurer of Women in Technology Hollywood which is a non-profit organization focused on advancing women and people from underserved communities in the field of technology. She is the former Executive Chair of Innovate@UCLA and current Chair of the Innovate@UCLA Women in Technology Committee.
