Kyle Jackson, Co-Founder and CEO of Talespin, to receive Innovate@UCLA Executive Leadership Award for Real Applications of the Metaverse![]()
LOS ANGELES, September 12, 2022 — Innovate@UCLA, a member-based IT leadership organization, today announced that Kyle Jackson, Co-Founder and CEO of Talespin, will be awarded its annual Executive Leadership Award. Innovate@UCLA is a partnership with technology leaders in enterprise organizations and UCLA through the Office of Advanced Research Computing.
“This prestigious award recognizes individuals and their organizations who exemplify digital leadership and driving technology innovation in the marketplace,” said Thomas Phelps IV, Innovate@UCLA Executive Chair and Laserfiche Chief Information Officer. “With this award, Talespin joins the ranks of the most disruptive innovators who are selected each year by our awards committee of tech leaders.”
Using immersive technologies, like virtual reality, Talespin provides an enhanced learning environment where lessons can be experienced rather than just studied. As the future of work evolves, these technologies will be at the core of employees’ experience. In co-founding and leading Talespin, Jackson oversaw the building of an immersive learning platform that supports content creators, technology companies, and large enterprises in the development of more engaging and impactful workplace training programs.
The annual Executive Leadership Awards will be held at the UCLA Luskin Ballroom on September 29, 2022. World-renowned entrepreneur and author Keith Ferrazzi will provide a keynote on the importance of increasing the diversity in leadership, and how to make a difference either by raising your own hand, or advocating for and sponsoring others.
Metaverse artist Teek Mach will appear live to exhibit an excerpt from Grisaille, the groundbreaking interactive performance at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival New Frontier. An executive panel – featuring leaders in entertainment and media, consulting and the Chief Technology and Innovation Officer at NASA JPL – will highlight real-life business use cases of the Metaverse.
