6 student teams have been working on their projects since April 6th meeting weekly for 10 weeks. Industry professionals coached the students and guided them through the solution implementation in the areas of CivicTech, EdTech, HealthTech and SocialTech. Speakers and other experts were also brought in each week to educate the students on digital and business topics such as Design Thinking, Project Management, UI/UX Fundamentals, How to Pitch, etc.
Due to the success of this program, it is now officially an upper-division Engineering course (ENGR 170). Recently, the UCLA Daily Bruin published an article about the format of the bootcamps and how companies are utilizing it to hire UCLA student talent.
