Board Member Spotlight: Heather Felix

Celebrating Heather’s Leadership and Impact at Innovate@UCLA

Heather Felix, Program Director at UCLA Anderson’s Easton Technology Management Center, has played a pivotal role on the Innovate@UCLA board for the past five years. As she prepares to retire from UCLA Anderson and step off the board, we reflect on her lasting contributions to our community.

Heather brought a rare combination of deep academic insight and real-world business acumen to Innovate@UCLA. With a background that spans new product development, clinical research, and marketing leadership in both healthcare and consumer product industries, she consistently offered a thoughtful perspective on the intersection of innovation, education, and leadership.

Prior to her time at UCLA, Heather held senior roles at organizations including Phillips, Discus Dental, and Pharmavite, where she led product development and business growth efforts. Her academic background includes degrees from Stanford, UCLA, and UCLA Anderson, reflecting her lifelong commitment to learning and leadership.

“Heather was a remarkable Executive Board colleague. She served an instrumental role for several years on the Innovate@UCLA Programs Committee. As Chair for the CxO Exchanges, Heather provided a particularly valuable lifeline to UCLA Faculty, who she recruited to speak at these important events. The CxO Exchanges, in addition to providing surefire intellection stimulation and generating great conversation among attendees, also proved to be a very valuable recruiting ground for new Members and Member Organizations. Heather fostered the UCLA-Innovate connection wonderfully. We could always count on her as an active Executive Board participant to bring an important UCLA perspective. We wish her the very best, and she will be missed!”
